Kunst in de Vesting

KunstVesting logo | PRIVEEKOLLEKTIE‘Kunst in de Vesting’ is a biënnale that offers visitors to explore the art galleries in the city center of the authentic Heusden. People can visit remarkable buildings and the galleries will show diverse exhibitions of their own specialities.

The exhibition that opens in Priveekollektie gallery space on September 12th will display, among others, two guest artists. One of them is an English photographer Alison Jackson famous for her satirical photographs of British royal family and other celebrities portrayed by their lookalikes. Her works reflect what really exists in the public imagination. They highlight the difference between what we see and what we imagine. It shows tiny fragments of ‘reality’ and aims to create likeness of famous icons.

Another new exciting collaboration of the galley is Vincenzo Marsiglia, an Italian artist that masterfully combines electronic communication tools with geometrical figures and sound, providing a unique viewer – engaging experience. With the reduction of distance between the viewer and the art pieces, comes an unpredictable and potentially endless amount of changes in the movement.

Both artists play with the imagination of the public, which makes the art fascinating to observe.

After Kunst in de Vesting, the exhibition will last till the 9th of October. Feel welcome to come and enjoy!
