Innovative Style At Salon Of Art & Design

by Priveekollektie / Hans van Houwelingen, News / 5 December 2019

In November 2019, The Salon Art + Design opened doors for its eighth edition at the Park Avenue Armory in New York City. Priveekollektie Contemporary Art | Design was featured in Antiques and Arts Weekly as a part of “Innovative Style At Salon Of Art & Design.”

“We can still recall the 2018 booth of Dutch gallery Priveekollektie Contemporary Art | Design, and we have no doubt that the 2019 booth will stick with us as well,” said Greg Smith – Editor of Antiques and Arts Weekly. Hans van Houwelingen’s “Armor II”, a full- size suit of arms in white porcelain and natural leather was exhibited right at the front of the booth. Two tables from Reinier Bosch’s “The Melting Series” of furniture also fascinated the editor. The glass base “Golden Lagoon” and the bronze base “Secret Lagoon” feature robust drops of glimmering gold bronze dripping from the edges of the tabletop. The concept of capturing of a single moment in time, as if suspending it for eternal viewing is what makes “The Melting Series” special.
