This trompe l’oeil, inspired by still life, comprises of many different elements and is a tribute to Carolina Wilcke’s Dutch heritage.
According to the artist, “unique individuals make a company on the table, just like the company at the table. Different in colors, materials, skins, sizes and shapes, but they still make a group.”
This piece not only raises a conversation among observers, but a dialogue is also established between the different elements of ‘Tafelgenoten’.
