WHAAM!

The Letter Series is inspired by a trip to Istanbul and its signs integrated in the architecture.

The letters in the works of Reinier Bosch have their literal meaning, but are also aesthetic objects in their own respect. Each piece in the Letter Series is different and stands out. Yet they work harmoniously together, both aesthetically and functionally. The series consists of functional tables, cabinets and consoles with designs referencing to pop-art. Each piece refers to a different emotion, usually in the form of onomatopoeia.

Reinier Bosch designed the WHAAM! Table as a tribute to Roy Lichtenstein during his trip to Istanbul and Shanghai. This piece, consisting of five neon letters holding a glass top, will be launched during PAD London 2013. WHAAM! plays with both the concept of onomatopoeia and Pop Art.
