BRT-CFM is part of the Golden Project. The Golden Project is a series of iconic handguns; translated and sublimated into desirable sculptures. This project consists of a series of individual pieces that fearlessly and expressively show harmony between power and strength, male and female. The BTR-CFM sculptures are bold symbols of female power that challenge traditional notions of strength and control. By reinterpreting a typical masculine object, Catharina van de Ven transforms the scultures into a powerful statement of female identity and empowerment. The concept evokes a sense of confrontation and assertiveness, reflecting the artist’s feminist approach and her desire to reclaim tools of power, making them symbols of resilience and authority rather than violence.
