The series Dirty Geometry explores pattern and form in museum-quality fabrication by a facility used by Serra, Judd, Kapoor, and others. The sculpture explores the juxtaposition of stable shape and turbulent pattern, between geometry and infinitesimal calculus, between Euclid and Leibniz. The only place where these ever meet in actuality is in a stain. Otherwise, they are historically juxtaposed as a mathematics of form and mathematics of event.
