THE GOLDEN LAGOON

The Melting Series is a family of bronze design objects that seem to melt. Even though the pieces are static, they give an impression of movement. The objects are made as one piece with a highly polished finish. Important in this process is the fluidity of the material and the love that is poured into the piece by both craftsman and designer.

The dining table is inspired on the making of bronze; models are made of wax, which are then cast in bronze. This “lagoon” of bronze is made like a plate of wax that’s melting and dripping over the edge of the table. The Reinier Bosch‘s table is a direct reference to this handmade craft.
